Today's state-of-the-art landfill utilizes a range of geosynthetic products to maximize design efficiency, integrity and performance while minimizing overall cost. For environmental protection, the essential landfill component is the primary geomembrane liner. All of the applied geomaterials including HDPE/LLDPE geomembrane, geotextile, geonet, geo composites, are formed into an integrated system to protect the valuable underground water resources and soil ground.
Landfill Lining
Landfill needs to deploy more than a smooth surfaced HDPE Geomembrane. Steep slopes become desirable for landfill to increase the capacity and diversify the location selects. But steep slopes present problems for smooth liners because top soil may not stay in place, and with overburden the liner itself can slip down the slope and increase stress on seams and the sheet itself. To solve this problem, Yingfan offers textured geomembranes. In order to reach higher leakage prevention property, usually bentonite GCL, filament nonwoven geotextile, drainage geocomposite together with primary waterproofing media, hdpe/LLDPE geomembrane, will all be used in landfill lining engineering. Landfill caps
Capping is the barrier layer on top of a solid waste containment facility. A cap must restrict surface water (rain) infiltration into the contaminated subsurface to reduce the contaminants leaching from the site. Our Yingfan HDPE geomembrane, especially LLDPE geomembrane, can provide excellent flexibility and elongation for the deformation when the waste is settled by decaying in the landfill. Surely, in order to control budget, it is practicable to use HDPE geomembrane in capping system. In our country, most of clients right now use HDPE geomembrane as capping liner in landfill projects. To improve visual inspection, green color HDPE geomembrane or double color geomembrane can be applied to be the landfill cover. Usually a single geomembrane layer cannot meet the containment and leakage construction requirement, most ordinary geomaterials combination including hdpe/LLDPE geomembrane, nonwoven geotextile, bentonite GCL, composite drainage network, will be designed and applied in practical landfill capping.
Leachate Ponds
Leachate is collected from operating landfill site and typically stored in ponds for treatment or evaporation. The liners in these leachate ponds are generally exposed to the elements.
